30/08/2010 Our U12 Hurlers played with great heart and determination to overcome a strong St. Vincents team. It took extra time to separate the sides with a Matthew Murray goal in the second period the decisive score. Final score after extra time Mayfield 4-4 to St. Vincents 2-8.

16/06/2010 Football County Championship on Saturday last 12/6/2010. In a game that had excitement and great skills on show, the large Mayfield support were delighted and proud to see our team crowned champions by the narrowest of margins. Congratulations to Dave Barry, Jim Doherty and Colm Bond and a fantastic team of U12 Footballers.

06/06/2010 Juvenile Fixtures to Thursday 17/6/2010:
- Fé 12 Hurling League S2: Mayfield versus St. Vincents at St. Vincents Thursday 10th June 2010 at 7pm.
- Fé 12 Football County Final: Mayfield versus Castlelyons at Ovens Saturday 12th June 2010 at 2pm.
- Fé 13 Hurling League S2: Mayfield versus St. Vincents at Mayfield Saturday 12th June 2010 at 1pm.

Match report for Fé12 City Final V Na Piarsaigh:
On Thursday May 20th Mayfield U-12 footballers took on Na Piarsaigh in the City final of the U-12B County Qualifiers. Played in glorious sunshine, the game turned out to be a real cracker. It took the Mayfield lads a while to get into their stride with Na Piarsaigh getting the opening point. Mayfield kept in touch with two points without reply. The teams traded scores in what was a very hard fought 1st half in challenging heat. Mayfield went into the break on top by 5 points to 4 . The second half was a real battle with Mayfield putting together some good moves resulting in one more point and 2 brilliantly taken goals by Keith Kelleher. Na piarsaigh also scored a goal and 1 point to set up a nail biting finish but brave defending by Mayfield and a great display by Adam Heaphy in goal kept Na Piarsaigh at bay. Mayfield came out on top on a scoreline of 2-6 to 1-5. All the Mayfield lads were fantastic on the night and have done their Club, Families and supporters proud once again.
On Thursday the 13th May 2010, Mayfields u-12 footballers took on Douglas (2) in the City Championship B semi-final. Supported by a big home crowd on the night, the Mayfield lads played some great football against a very good Douglas side. The first score of the game took a while to come but when it did Mayfield took control of the game and ended the evening with an impressive win and a place in the city final. All the Mayfield players were excellent on the night and we now look forward to the County Final.

28/04/2010 The Mayfield Fé12 hurlers played their first hurling league game versus Aghada in Mayfield on Saturday last April 24th. The lads came up against a more experienced Aghada side on the day. The Mayfield lads gave it everything on the day right up to the final whistle and no doubt with a few more games the lads will improve as this game showed that they certainly have the determination to do well. All the lads gave it their best shot , with exceptional performances from Eddie Scanlon, Jordan buckley , Jordan O Donovan , Chris hull , Matthew Murray , Keith Kelleher and Dan Desmond.

20/04/2010 On Saturday April 10th, Mayfield's U-12 footballers took on Fermoy on what was a perfect day for football. The opening period of the game was an evenly matched affair with both teams creating chances. It was Mayfield that opened the scoring and they never looked back. The whole team worked extremely hard from the first to the final whistle. They passed the ball very well when in possession but they also worked very hard off the ball throughout the game. It was a very good win by the lads against a good Fermoy side. All the lads played their part in the win with great performances also from Aaron O Sullivan, Chris hull & David Russell.
On Saturday April 17th, Mayfield U-12 Footballers took on Eire-Og. This was a great game of football and credit to both teams for serving up such great entertainment on what was a very warm afternoon. Mayfield started the brighter scoring 2-5 in the first half but the second half was a different story with Eire-Og scoring some quick points and a goal to put the pressure back on the Mayfield lads. Mayfield dug deep and some great defending combined with good movement in midfield produced a second half goal that saw Mayfield over the line by the slim margin of two points.
Under 10s played there first match in the Ballygarvan football tournament on Friday last against Passage .With a number of players away we did very well to field two teams in this first outing. As these games are based on the "Go Games" with small sided games, all players get to play and lots of touches which will help bring skill levels up. Training continues on Tuesday and Friday at 6pm for those born in 2000/2001 and are welcome to take part in these sessions. Ring Cormac on 0877521651 for more info
14/04/2010 Mayfield Fé14 hurling squad produced a spirited display to defeat Nemo Rangers on a scoreline Mayfield 3-7 to Nemo Rangers 0-5 in the Feile Semi-Final at the CIT Sports Grounds this evening. Three second half goals sealed the win for Mayfield.
