08/11/2009 : Mayfield Hurlers can be proud of their achievements this weekend with a clean sweep of cups on offer. The weekend success began with an excellent display by our U21 Hurlers to capture the City Division title for 2009 defeating Whitechurch on Saturday. The icing on the cake to complete the winning weekend was the defeat of our near neighbours and rivals Brian Dillons in the McCurtain Cup Final on a scoreline 1-14 to 1-09 today. Congratulations to both Teams and Selectors on their achievements.

The GAA have teamed up with Vodafone Ireland as an official Give Back Partner. This alliance with Vodafone Ireland provides Clubs with a terrific new opportunity to raise funds. With the Vodafone Support Your GAA Club programme 5% of a Vodafone Ireland customer's mobile phone Pay Monthly bill or Top Up will go to a customer's nominated GAA Club once a Club and customer has registered, without costing Vodafone Ireland customers a cent extra.
Vodafone Ireland will shortly be communicating with each Club and sending each Club a pack that will allow you to register for the programme. This registration pack is also available to download on www.supportyourgaaclub.ie. Each Club must be registered in order to receive funds. Club members and supporters also need to register at www.supportyourgaaclub.ie and nominate their GAA club.
This new programme has enormous fund-raising potential for Clubs and we encourage all to participate. For more information you can contact the Vodafone Support Your GAA Club team on +353-(0)87-322-5555 or +353- (0)87-322-5566 (9am-9pm Monday to Saturday).
